Raven Skye's work is steeped in

 reminiscent recollections. 

She creates much of her work in the studio, but is often out on plein-air sessions, hiking, & exploring, to study & document her subjects, observing & considering the way the light, wind, shadows & other elements come into play, which enhances her composition choices. 

 "I seek to share fleeting moments that spark & re-kindle a wondrous sense of nostalgia, pique curiosity, & encourage an "eyes wide open approach" to all the wonders, big & small, that exist all around us, in our presence every day. 

I am humbled as I work to portray these fleeting moments in and among landscapes & fading, falling-down shelters, preserving their essence in ways that I hope will inspire you to pause, reflect, recall & remember what is important to you and why, so that life doesn't simply pass you by".
